In this video review Pro Tools Expert team member Dan Cooper takes a close look at the Vox AC30 HW2X. The AC30 HW2X is a hand-wired 30 watt guitar amplifier made in Vietnam. The X in the name symbolises that this model has two 12" Celestion Alnico Blue speakers suppose to the Celestion G12M Greenback Speakers commonly found in other AC30 models.
Watch to hear how the amp performs in three Queen covers with the solos being performed using Burns & BMG Brian May Special guitars - with and without an external BSM treble booster.
Dan explains the reasons why he purchased the HW2X as a replacement to his current 1990's Vox AC30 6 TB Model that he uses in his recording studio.
